Varun's journey in Bollywood started off first behind the cameras. He worked as an assistant director to filmmaker Karan Johar in 'My Name Is Khan' (2010). As luck would have it, the talented Dhawan lad, made his debut in Karan's film 'Student Of The Year' in 2012. Life surely came full circle for Varun, quite interesting!
